Dr. Nikhil Bansal is a Consultant cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon at Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana. He did his MBBS from Government Medical College, Chandigarh. Then, he proceeded to complete his MS in General Surgery, from Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi and subsequently went on to complete his M.Ch in CTVS, from AIIMS, New Delhi. He has undergone special training in OP-CAB (Off-pump beating heart coronary artery bypass) and MICS-valve surgeries (minimally invasive cardiac surgery) for 3 years. He is also trained in operating complex pediatric cardiac disorders. He has over 25 research publications to his name in both national and international indexed journals. He has attended and presented his work in various cardiothoracic conferences and his research won the award for “Best paper, 2020” by Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons. He is an expert in OP-CAB and MICS-valve surgeries.
