Dr Nikhil Bante is one of the few Pulmonologists in the country with extensive training in both Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine. He has done his post-graduation DNB Pulmonary Medicine from VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, and then pursued his super-specialization in Critical Care Medicine from Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. He has also received European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine (EDRM, Switzerland) and European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC, Germany). He has keen interest in the care of respiratory and critically ill patients with a special focus on difficult-to-treat conditions such as ARDS, septic shock, poisonings, pneumonias, respiratory conditions like, difficult to treat Asthma, COPD, and ILDs. He has trained several young pulmonologists and intensivists. Having worked and refined his skills at several leading hospitals in Delhi, he shares his passion for achieving clinical excellence in patient care with his other team members. His other areas of special interest include performing advanced pulmonary procedures such as endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), thoracoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, airway stentings, and ICU bronchoscopies. His expertise and skill in safely performing these complex procedures make him the “go-to man” when faced with difficult situations.
