Dr. Sanjeev Kumar is a dedicated and accomplished pulmonologist with over a decade of clinical experience in pulmonary medicine, critical care, and infectious diseases including tuberculosis and COVID-19. He is currently serving as a Senior Resident in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Rajan Babu Institute of Pulmonary Medicine and Tuberculosis (RBIPMT), New Delhi. Dr. Kumar completed his MBBS from PGIMS, Rohtak in 2009, followed by a rigorous DNB in Respiratory Diseases from RBIPMT, New Delhi. He is also certified by the National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS) and holds an FCCS certification from the Society of Critical Care Medicine, USA. He brings extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of respiratory conditions including tuberculosis (drug-sensitive and drug-resistant), asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease (ILD), ABPA, and pleural diseases. He is also skilled in performing procedures such as bronchoscopy, pleural tapping, lymph node biopsy, and ICD insertion. Dr. Kumar has been a part of esteemed institutions like VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, Burari Hospital, and Primus Superspeciality Hospital, contributing to both inpatient and ICU care. He has also provided teleconsultation support during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping manage mild to moderate cases remotely. He actively participates in national and international conferences and workshops, staying updated with advancements in pulmonology and critical care. He has presented papers and published original research, including his recent publication in JIACM (2024) on TB-HIV co-infection outcomes.
