‘Flight of Joy’: Fortis Hospital Gives Wings to Imagination of Kids Through Fun-filled Origami Activities on Children’s Day

Nov 14, 2019 to Nov 22, 2019

This ‘Children’s Day’, the program titled ‘Flight of Joy’ was organised in Fortis Escorts Hospital, Jaipur as a part of a nationwide program, conceptualised by the Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Science under the aegis of renowned psychiatrist Dr. Samir Parikh, who is Director of the Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences, Fortis Hospitals.

The program began at 10 AM and continued until 4 PM, when the unwilling children finally let go of their creations. An ‘All Fly Zone’ was created where children crafted their origami creations, and put on its wings the happy place that it will fly them to. All these creations were then strung up for everyone to come and engage with. In-patient children were elated to find the ‘Flight Stand’, another creative zone where birds flew past them and their families and were strung up on the drip stands in their rooms for the duration of their stay.
