Fortis Hospital Anandapur observed Global Hand Hygiene Day

Global Handwashing Day was observed at Fortis Hospital Anandapur, Kolkata on 15th October 2022. This International Hand Hygiene Day was celebrated to motivate and mobilize employees to improve their handwashing habits. The global campaign is dedicated to raising awareness of hand washing with soap as a key factor in disease prevention. Respiratory and intestinal diseases can be reduced by 25-50% by handwashing.

Fortis Anandapur Team- Infection Prevention and control conducted an extensive campaign on the theme of 2022- “Unite for universal hand hygiene”. Team education and quality together carried out Roadshow, health education, demonstration, return demonstration on hand hygiene, steps, and moment of hand hygiene with Nurses, Doctors, Patients, and their family members. Spot quiz with prizes and gifts was the key attraction of the program.
