Fortis Hospital Anandapur observes the 11th Infection Prevention & Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship Week

Fortis Anandapur Kolkata celebrated the 11th Infection Prevention & Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship Week from 21st November to 25th November 2022. The theme of this year was “The Future is Infection Prevention: 50 Years of Infection Prevention” – which highlights the decades of infection prevention throughout ‘The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology / APIC’s 50 years and inspire the next generation of Infection Preventionists. Medical staff from all the departments joined in various activities taking place throughout this week.

The important take-home messages of this week were:

• Restriction of irrational antibiotics through administrative control.
