Speaking about the importance of BLS skills, Dr. Arijit Sil, Consultant, Emergency Medicine said, “Being aware about Basic life support training skills is crucial as it educates us to save lives in case of critical medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, stroke and other serious health ailments. CPR, especially if administered immediately after cardiac arrest, can double or triple a person's chance of survival. About 90 percent of people who experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest die.”
Speaking about the importance of CPR, Dr. Shuvanan Ray, Director, Cardiology said, “CPR training is very crucial because it can save lives in cases of cardiac arrest. Since a doctor cannot always be present, CPR should be performed by a bystander who is present or close. Therefore, learning CPR is essential as it enables to save a life in any cardiac emergency..”
XX, Shri Shikshayatan School said, “We are happy to associate with Fortis Hospital who have taken the initiative and trained the youth for BLS. The main aim of basic life support session is to save lives. People with these skills have the capacity to recognize health emergency situations early enough, and offer the necessary help to the victims.”
