Fortis Hospital, Mulund ‘Hamara Station, Hamari Shaan’ campaign

Fortis Hospital, Mulund, Mumbai Oct 04, 2016

Fortis Hospital, Mulund, as a part of the ‘Hamara Station, Hamari Shaan’ initiative by NGO Mumbai First and Making a Difference (MAD) foundation, along with the Central and Western Railway authorities, unveiled beautiful murals at Mulund station. Given the hospital’s instrumental move in bringing about a progressive mindset-shift towards Organ Donation across Mumbai and Maharashtra, Mulund station was themed on the cause.

The beautification and makeover initiative by Fortis Hospital, Mulund, invited participation from hundreds of local residents and commuters. Leading the revamp efforts were Mr Raj Gore-COO, (South & West), Fortis Healthcare, Dr S Narayani, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospital, Mulund, and designer Archana Kochhar. Mulund Station was beautified with several colourful murals done by students from JJ School of Arts. A selfie point with the organ donation theme was also unveiled at the station.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr S Narayani, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospital, Mulund, said, “We are thrilled to participate in the Hamara Station, Hamari Shaan initiative that will work towards beautifying railway stations all over the city. We have chosen the theme of organ donation since it is a cause that we are passionate about at Fortis. We hope to pave the way for more residents to support the cause of organ donation while also encouraging them to take pride in their own station.”

In addition to Mulund Station, Fortis Mulund has also adopted three more stations along the Central Line under the Hamara Station, Hamari Shaan initiative, themed;

  • Thane Station - Wellness and hygiene
  • Nahur Station - Cancer awareness and prevention
  • Bhandup Station - Mumbai Meri Jaan
