Fortis Hospital, Mulund, joins hands with Mumbai FC as official health partner

Fortis Hospital, Mulund has been announced the official health partner for ILeague club Mumbai, for the current season. With its holistic health offering, medical teams at Fortis Hospital, Mulund, will treat the players of the club’s First Team and the Youth Teams(Reserves, U18, U16 and U14), for injuries and provide quicker rehabilitation process, thereby reducing the recovery time. The medical teams will also educate and train young players and their coaches on injury prevention, diet, nutrition monitoring and analysis.

Mumbai FC will support Fortis Hospital, Mulund, to drive CSR initiatives across the city which, to promote awareness through educational programs on preventive care, emergency care, etc. One such CSR initiative that will build traction with the community, will promote Organ Donation, led by team players who will pledge to donate their organs.

Mumbai FC’s head coach Santosh Kashyap underlined the importance of having a healthcare partner like Fortis Hospital, Mulund, on board as he said, “It’s essential for a club like Mumbai. The players are always vulnerable to injuries in training and competition. Having Fortis on board gives everyone at the club a sense of security. Also, the education they will provide to prevent injuries will help us during the season.”

Speaking about the association, Dr S. Narayani, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospital, Mulund, said, “These young football players need best medical aid to keep them in top form, we will provide this specialized medical aid. The Coaches and the Players will be given training on injury prevention, diet, nutrition monitoring etc. enabling to optimally perform at the matches”.

The partnership with Fortis comes as a major positive for Mumbai as the club prepares to kick off its I-League campaign on 8th January versus DSK Shivajians at the Cooperage Football Stadium.
