Fortis Hospital, Noida conferred the prestigious National Energy Conservation Award

Fortis Hospital, Noida has been conferred the prestigious National Energy Conservation Award, 2015. The award was presented by Mr. Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy in the Government of India and received by Mr. Gagan Sehgal, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospital Noida at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

The award is instituted by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Government of India to recognize the best energy saving initiatives and confers the award to organizations that have substantially reduced their electricity consumption.

Fortis Hospital, Noida has been a forerunner in the area of energy saving and conservation. From last 11 years, the hospital has continuously strived to conserve energy and natural resources and has notched up some impressive successes. The hospital saved more 10.68 lakh units as compared to the previous year, a saving over 17% which is a noteworthy achievement indeed.
