Fortis Hospital, Vashi aids new moms in Kamote secure healthy childhood for their babies

Organised at Kamote in Navi Mumbai, team of Paediatricians from Fortis Hospital, Vashi, conducted a health check-up and consultation camp for new mothers & babies. Fortis Hospital, Vashi, was the Health Partner at the event.

Dr Subhash Rao, President of Indian Academy of Paediatrics inaugurated the event. As part of the camp, Pediatricians from Fortis Hospital, Vashi, conducted the check-ups related to height and weight for babies as these are important parameter checks important checks since number of Peadiatric problems can be identified with these tests.

Dr Vishwas Chavan, Paediatrician with Fortis Hospital, Vashi hosted an engaging health talk that helped guide young mothers care for their children.

Dr Ashok Gawdi, Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist, Fortis Hospital, Vashi, said, “Childhood, especially infancy, is a critical phase; the babies immune system and overall quality of health during the rest of lives depend on the care received during this phase. Even minor oversight in infant care can have adverse effects on the child's health. We are sure that these young moms will find our consultations important and enriching as we hope to aid and equip them with relevant information on child health.”
