They need a lot of emotional and physical support, apart from the right advice on how to handle the new conditions during this period. Care of self and the new life is extremely important and it takes extraordinary effort on part of the expectant mother and her family to ensure that both the mother and the new-born do not face any problems before, during and after the delivery of the baby. Our “Mummy ki Paathshala” workshop is aimed at addressing queries of expectant women”.

As part of the workshop, Dr Bandita Sinha explained in detail the dos and don’ts for expectant mothers during pregnancy and post-delivery. Dr Sinha explained that while a lot of solicited and unsolicited help may be available from their family members/friends/neighbours etc., but all of that may not be medically advisable in many cases. Dr Sinha also emphasised on the importance of women being happy and cheerful during pregnancy for good health of the baby.
