Fortis’ S.L Raheja Hospital, Conducts Multi-Specialty Health Check-up Camp at Shivaji Park, Dadar on ‘World Health Day’

On occasion of the World Health Day, Fortis’ S.L Raheja Hospital, Mahim, conducted a multi-specialty heath check-up camp for general public at Shivaji Park, Dadar on 6th & 7th April, 2016. The team of doctors provided general consultations, dietary inputs and a session on general physiological health to the attendees. More than 800 people were screened, sought medical consultation at the camp. Many of the participants also joined in a flash mob that highlighted the importance of maintaining good health.

The multi-specialty camp encompassed essential health check-ups such as Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI), Body Composition Assessment (BCA) and Random Blood Sugar (RBS). Interestingly, most of people who were screened indicated high concerns about their health and sought doctors’ advice in leading a healthier life.

Dr Rajesj Gokani, General Physician, Fortis’ S.L Raheja Hospital, Mahim, said, “Early diagnosis, timely intervention, periodic check-ups along with physical activity and nutrition can help bring down most lifestyle-specific ailments. This health camp aimed to educate the masses on the need to adopt healthier lifestyle for better life and better society.”
