Fortis starts ‘More To Give’ campaign for Organ Donate

Jul 26, 2016

Fortis has launched a new initiative – ‘More To Give’, a campaign focusing on sensitizing the nation about the need of stepping up to donate organs for saving lives.

This campaign will work towards building greater awareness about the low rate of organ donation compared to a high rate of requirement for organ transplants in our country.

By raising awareness, the campaign aims to emotionally connect with the country to trigger a nationwide movement for people to ‘pledge’ their organs and to make the process of pledging easily accessible to the masses.

Through the campaign’s activations, the main aim is to push for policy changes in the existing processes involved in organ donation as well as urge the Government to expand the services of the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO) to all states of the country.

To amplify the concept of ‘More to Give’, the campaign will, also, work along with the Armed Forces and War Veterans who have either lost a limb or a loved one to a war. By pledging to donate their organs or ‘giving more’ to the society they will promote the cause and sentiment of ‘More To Give’ among the country’s masses.

Through awareness activities, the ultimate aim of the campaign is to address facts, state crucial statistics and break common myths to eventually build a productive conversation around the topic of organ donation in India.
