Fortis starts the zonal qualifier round of its first ever National Quiz Competition on Psychology

The Department of Mental Health & Behavioural Sciences at Fortis Healthcare announced the commencement of Zonal qualifier round of India’s first ever exclusive National Quiz competition on Psychology “PSYCH-ED”, for students from Class XI & XII, from Bangalore. This is the second round of the national quiz competition which started with the online round on 24 Aug 2016. Participants from more than 200 schools across more than 40 cities, pan India have participated in the online round of quiz. The winners of the online round are participating in the zonal qualifier rounds. 34 schools from South zone participated in the online round and 12 schools qualified for the zonal round. Eight schools from Bangalore have qualified in the zonal round and rest of the schools are from Chennai, Coimbatore and Hyderabad.

South Zone qualifier will be organised at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road Bangalore. Three members from each contesting school will be pitched against each other through a holistic quiz format. The format will consist of different rounds such as rollover, puzzle, wipe out round, minus point round etc.The quiz will test their knowledge of Psychology and allied sciences. Students from The entire event is conceptualized & led by Dr Samir Parikh, Director of Department Mental Health & Behavioural Sciences at Fortis Healthcare.

Two contesting schools will qualify for final which will held in Delhi on 7th of October,after the completion of other zonal qualifiers will be held at Jaipur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chandigarh and Delhi. The winner of the final will get cash prize of INR 50,000/-, second runner up will get the cash prize of INR 30,000/- and second runner up will get cash prize of INR 20,000/-
