In hospital, patients get a surprise ‘Santa’ call from Fortis Healthcare CEO

Being in hospital on new year eve may not be the best of situations for an ordinary person, but not for Chandigarh resident Neha Dewan Bansal, who had reason to the doubly delighted. Not only was she blessed with the God’s gift of her first child at the hands Dr Ritambhra Bhalla, who performed the delivery at Fortis Hospital Mohali, but a surprise special visit by the CEO of the healthcare chain Bhavdeep Singh, to greet her and cut a New Year cake on the occasion, was like a sweet dream. He was accompanied by COO – Region North East Ashish Bhatia, and Facility Director Abhijit Singh.

The second door which received a surprise knock from Bhavdeep Singh belonged to 18-year-old patient of cerebral palsy Rizwan Nasrullah from Sialkot in Pakistan, who, during his short stay at the hospital, has got a new found confidence that he will be able to walk normally like his twin brother back home.
