Navi Mumbai’s Traffic Police and Fortis Hospital conclude the ‘Road Safety Campaign’

Navi Mumbai’s Traffic Police and Fortis Hospital today concluded their fortnight-long Road Safety Campaign that was aimed at educating motorists and pedestrians about the importance of road safety measures. Driven from January 10th 23rd, the initiative witnessed overwhelming response from the Navi Mumbai’s Traffic Police and Police Dept. and thousands of responsible Navi Mumbaikars. The closing ceremony of this awareness-focused campaign was supported by Hon. Mr Prabhat Rajan, Commissioner of Police, Navi Mumbai, Hon. Mr Arvind Salve, Dpty. Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Dr Sunil Kutty, Neuro Surgeon, Fortis Hospital, Vashi and coveted actor Shreyas Talpade.

The highlight of Road Safety Campaign’s closing ceremony was the parade by Navi Mumbai Police that reiterated the campaign’s central message of observing safety while driving. Offering vote of thanks to all the participants,Mr Prabhat Rajan, Commissioner of Police, Navi Mumbai, said, “I would like to thank all participants who supported and drove the Road Safety Campaign. Following the huge success of earlier campaign, we extended the initiative by two weeks this year; where a number of interactive activities were conducted to spread the message of observing the road discipline”. He added that Navi Mumbai’s Traffic Police and Police dept. was especially thankful towards Fortis Hospital which went beyond its role as Health Partner with its active participation in the campaign. Fortis Hospital also commissioned a Road Safety Mobile Van that travelled across the city to spread the message of Road Safety by conducting Street Plays
