Ramp walk, songs, dance, skits, mimes mark conclusion of impressive Nurses Week celebrations at Fortis Mohali

Harjit Kaur, in her late thirties now, had a very genuine reason to feel exceptionally proud on Thursday. Having the distinction of being recruited as the first nurse in Fortis Hospital Mohali on its inception in 2001, she completed 15 years of service to humanity and was duly honoured by the hospital at the conclusion of International Nurses Week celebrations.

A cultural programme marked the conclusion of the weeklong celebrations with the students and staff of School of Nursing (NOW) participating in an impressive ramp walk. Dances, including Rajasthani dance, bhangra, gidda, solo and fusion, alongwith songs, skits and mimes marked the occasion. Earlier a lamp lighting ceremony was performed and nurses took their customary pledge.
