Yet Another Life Saving Heart Transplant Conducted at Fortis Hospital, Mulund

Yet another textbook example of coordination between Mumbai and Aurangabad has helped make an attempt to save the life of a 28yr old male suffering from Dilated Cardiomyopathy. This surgery was made possible when the family of the donor, 39yr old male, suffering from Brain Stem Bleed, consented to donate his Heart, Liver and Kidneys. Retrieved by Fortis Hospital, Mulund’s Dr Sanjeev Jadhav, CVTS Surgeon, from the donor at Seth Nandlal Dhoot Hospital, the donor heart was transported to the hospital Mumbai in 01hr 19mins covering 276.2kms.
