With over 20+ years of experience in ophthalmology, she is a clinician-scientist of international repute, and has more than 200 peer reviewed papers and 10 textbooks to her credit. Trained from the best institutes in the country (Maulana Azad Medical College, and Dr R P Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi) and in Europe (Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Hôpitaux universitaires de Genève, Switzerland), she is known for empathetic and ethical patient care. She also serves on the Associate Advisory Board of the International Society of Glaucoma Surgery, and is the Executive Editor of its journal, the Journal of Current Glaucoma Practice. Dr Shibal Bhartiya is a Glaucoma surgeon with special interest in glaucoma diagnosis and management, and ocular surface diseases. She was a Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Gluaocma services of the Dept of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Geneva, and Senior Research Associate at Dr R P Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi. She is the Managing Editor of the Journal of Current Glaucoma Practice, the official journal of the International Society of Glaucoma Surgery.
